Get Out And About, Join Nixon Digital’s Networking Event

Most of us are no strangers to networking, but surprisingly, only a select handful can harness the true power of a professional business network. Many rely on social networks like LinkedIn to make connectivity more manageable, but social networks are no substitute for direct, personal, quality connections.

  • When the people in your network value being connected with you, then the real magic happens.

The power of networking lies in how well your contacts get to know you, how much they learn to trust you, how much they gain from having you in their network, and how many other like-minded influential people there are in your network. How to create a powerful network? Time is precious so make sure you network with meaning.

Understand what you’re trying to achieve from networking and have a plan which outlines your goal, the connections you want to make, how you’re going to connect, how much time you’re going to invest, what you can offer to the relationship and ultimately what results you would like to see. Be sure to meet your network regularly for coffee, breakfast, lunch (or whatever). And, my top tip, if you ever want to get support, be sure to give it generously.
